Dmitriy Rozin

Based in New York City

Dmitriy was born in the Soviet Union; his family immigrated to the US in 1992 as Jewish refugees. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production and a Master's of Fine Arts in Computer Graphics and Interactive Media.

Transitioning into film and video editing, Dmitriy's work has garnered recognition, including selections at prestigious events such as Sundance, Cannes Film Festival, BAFTA awards, the Student Academy Awards and others.

Early in his career, Dmitriy spent several years working internationally. Initially, he edited sports car racing stories for Antradocs films in Switzerland, France, and Portugal. Subsequently, he served as an editor for commercials and TV series in Russia and Estonia. Additionally, Dmitriy contributed his editing expertise to various corporate documentaries focusing on big Russian industries.

In 2014, amid political tensions, Dmitriy returned to New York. There, he collaborated on the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center project, joining a team that curated over a hundred short documentary subjects exploring the life and legacy of the first Russian president. This project, overseen by Twitchpost, Persona Films, and Ralph Appelbaum Associates, was unveiled at the center's opening in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in 2015.

Following this, Dmitriy embarked on freelance projects, including engagements with NBC Universal and Vice Media. He simultaneously worked on documentaries addressing pressing global issues, such as the crisis in Eastern Ukraine and the challenges faced by disabled children in Siberia.

Later, Dmitriy assumed the role of senior video editor at Group SJR, a content agency based in New York. After five years, he returned to freelancing, leveraging his expertise in both short and long-form film and video production.
